Chicken Stock, Winter and Other Weekend Plans

Winter has decided to make another appearance here.  We had snow yesterday evening and we'll get more snow tonight and tomorrow morning, with some wintery mix thrown in to keep life interesting.  Oh well, we've had an overall mild winter, so I won't complain - at least not too much.

At some point, either this evening or tomorrow we do need to get the grocery shopping done.  It all depends on the weather.  I plan on making chicken stock tomorrow, and if I can find reasonably priced garam masala, I have been asked to test a stew recipe.  The stew will be my lunch next week.

I only have a couple of weeks left to finish knitting the blanket if I want it done before my friend has her baby, so I'll probably spend a lot of time working on it this weekend.  We're also getting together with people from church to watch the movie Courageous on Saturday night.  I think that I might bring my knitting and work on it while we watch it.

I also want to tackle at least one drawer this weekend and declutter it.

What are your plans for the weekend?  Whatever they are I hope that you have a blessed weekend!

My plans for the weekend...get up a blog post about my first quilt! yay!!

Then I wanted to put together a small cookbook of my recipes for a young woman's birthday. Haven't gotten to that yet, but I have until Tuesday to get it completed. It will just take a while.

Third task...laundry. Mountains of laundry. :)

Stew sounds great!! We are experiencing "winter" over here too...if you consider rain and "cold" temps in the 40s. =p No big plans for the weekend. We are prepping for M's 5th birthday parties, so that will keep us busy enough. Enjoy the movie!

Didn't get to make the stew, I'm having a hard time finding garam masala. Hopefully the co-op will have it on Tuesday. I did have chicken stock simmering on the stove all day yesterday though.

The movie was amazing!
